Great Pants, Sizing issues

I love these pants, I've had several pairs, but sizing seems to have changed. A year ago I wore a comfortably fitting 33x32 and loosely fitting 36x34 (it was on sale). I just received two pairs of 33x32 that I cannot close and I have not changed weight, still wearing the original 33's

Good pair of pants, but the fit could be better

This pair of pants is sturdy and has plenty of pockets. I have two complaints: the back pockets are too shallow, and the proportions between the waist and the leg width could be better. It fits me, but it could be more comfortable. Maybe my legs are too muscular for the cut of the pants. I’m not overweight, but I do have large calves. So if you have thick legs, it might be difficult to find a perfect fit.

So close to 5 stars, but slight changes from the original Kickstarter version and V2 makes these fall short

I have 4 pairs of the flex canvas pants now. The first pair was from the Kickstarter back in 2019. I've worn them many hundreds of times since then and were my go to pant. These stayed super soft and were about perfect. I then added 2 pairs of the V2 pants and noticed the material was a little stiffer and the pants were a little tighter in the thighs and calves than the original Kickstarters. Now I just bought a new pair of the V3 and they are slightly tighter in the thighs and calves than the V2 ones. All my pairs are the same size (31x30) and they all fit a little different across the versions. The V3 is just a little too tight for my liking and is why I take it down to 4 starts.

The best thing about the V3 is the phone sized pocket on the left thigh. I love it and it fits my Samsung S23E phone in an Otterbox case. It's tight, but it fits. The V3 has all the other pockets and nice mesh lining which is great. I usually carry a knife and a flashlight and used the side pockets on the V2 to hold those, now the V3 loses one of those pockets for the phone pocket. I have now put my knife in my pocket and keep the flashlight on the right leg pocket.
