LIVSN Designs is an outdoor apparel company that designs and makes products that bridge the gap between outdoor adventures and everyday life. In an effort to decrease the amount of clothing he owned, our owner, Andrew Gibbs-Dabney, started LIVSN to create versatile, durable, and responsibly-made apparel that would last.

RETAIL STORE MANAGER
About the Job:
The ideal candidate will have previous retail experience. We’re looking for someone energized by talking to people, helping customers, and creating an incredible store experience.
It’s encouraged, but not required, to be an outdoorsperson so you can personally relate to and speak to our customers about our products. Whether you climb, hike, ride, forage, walk, garden, camp, draw, meditate, backpack, fish, or hunt, we want you to love doing the activities that bring you joy and fulfillment.

Duties & responsibilities:

Responsible for store revenue, profit, and overall financial performance

Store staff management, such as hiring, development, scheduling, training, reviews, and discipline

Open and closing duties including locking/unlocking the store, arming/disarming the alarm, cleaning, and preparing the store for the day/next day

Maintain optimized inventory for the store, acting as “buyer” for the store

Be a product expert and brand ambassador at all times. Learn and be able to effortlessly speak to product construction, use, and the differences in our product lines, as well as the differences in other competing products in the marketplace

Keep the retail space clean and neat. Sweeping/swiffering/sanitizing when needed and straightening up after customers.

Backroom inventory receiving, inventory management, returns processing, and stock upkeep.

Regularly rotate displays and merchandising to keep the store dynamic and interesting

Document and share merchandising best practices with our retail partners

Efficiently run and continually assess point-of-sale software (Shopify) and hardware for inventory purposes and checking out customers

Local and regional event planning, coordination, and execution, including travel to and being present at events - sometimes alone

Activate the store space for community events

Create social media content around store stories: like product, staff, events, local news, HQ BTS

Maintain the cleanliness of the store and all areas where customers interact with the space, including bathrooms

Source complementary products from value-aligned brands, and maintain inventory and relationships with those vendors

Handle in-store and telephone customer service, including exchanges, returns, and warranty service

Manage in-store repair service hours, condition of repair station, and activations to promote local repairs

Maintain a regular cash till, opening and closing checklists, floor and backroom restocks, and general management of the retail store

Maintain store and operations supplies, such as bags, receipt paper, cleaning supplies, and bathroom consumables

Maintain and improve systems for soliciting and recording customer feedback in the store

Generally be an active, engaged employee who looks for opportunities to have an impact

Make our customers feel like they’re our friends. Be warm and inviting and connect with them on a personal level to build their long-term connection to us. We want you to sell products, but more importantly, we want you to be building lifelong customers

Various errands, assignments, and activities as may arise at a small company from time to time. Examples would include sweeping the walkway, buying snacks and drinks for the office/store, throwing in-store events, working outside events for the brand, or picking up and dropping off warehouse transfers

Pay & Hours

$40,000 - $50,000 per year salary + benefits
-
Generally, 5 days per week with one weekend day
